Believe and Follow

Dear Honorable Guru-Vargas, Godbrothers, Godsisters, Vaisnavas, Vaisnavis and Others;

On the day before Balaram Purnima (Gour-Chaturdasi Tithi) I would like to ask for all of your blessings so that I may be able to carry out the mission of Sriman Mahaprabhu in order to deliver myself from the miserable condition of material life through chanting this Hare Krishna Mahamantra: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare, so that I may be able to serve all Vaisnavas with full enthusiasm.

“PRABHU KAHE, VAISNAVA SEVA KRISHNA NAMA SAMKIRTAN.

DUI KARO PABE KRISHNERA CHARAN.”

(Mahaprabhu says that to serve Vaisnavas and chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra we must follow the two limbs of devotion. When you do, you can achieve the Lotus-Feet of Sri Krishna and become the eternal servant of Sri Krishna.)

Also, let me follow the order of my beloved Srila Gurudeva, His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Pramode Puri Goswami Maharaj and my Parama Gurudeva (Grand Spiritual Master), His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur Prabhupada as well as all of our Guru-Parampara. Let me carry out their Mission for continuing the service of their temples by following their instructions without any discrimination or misrepresentation in order to inspire people to chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and to offer due respect to everyone in order to deliver people from the miserable condition of material life.

Please let me believe from the bottom of my heart that both Krishna’s Name and Krishna are non-different and will never cheat us. Under any and every circumstance, our previous Acharyas are showing this example in their daily spiritual practice. My Parama Gurudeva, His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Sarawati Goswami Thakur Prabhupada, gave us the instruction to chant 64-rounds (one Lakh) of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra in a day in order to become qualified to serve Mahaprabhu and the Divine couple, Sri Sri Radha-Krishna. Please let me follow the instructions of my Parama Gurudeva and follow in the foot-print of my Srila Gurudeva the rest of my life in order to carry out my present responsibilities (services) as the President & Acharya of Srila Gurudeva’s society, the Sri Gopinath Gaudiya Math, with proper Vaisnava etiquette and without any mistakes. Also, it is true that without the blessings and practical help of the present Vaisnava community it is not possible to carry out the responsibility. Therefore, I need all of your practical help. I hope none of you will refuse me your generosity so that we may establish unity in the diversity among us and inspire people to chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra without any discrimination between societies, Gurudeva and Vaisnavas.

Due to the influence of the age of hypocrisy (KALI-YUGA) we may see in present society that persons are pretending to be Vaisnavas, with Vaisnava-form (dress) while cheating us to receive some material benefit. Therefore we may have the idea that Krishna and Krishna’s name is cheating us. We have to keep in mind that Sri Krishna gave us intelligence to surrender to Him, and He is protecting us from all types of dangers. We have to apply our intelligence in this regard, and choose the right person with the correct designation to associate with, and give due respect to everyone in order to reach our ultimate goal, KRISHNA PREM, through chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra by following in the foot-prints of previous Acharyas.

We have to keep in mind, and believe that, if Sri Krishna wants to keep us then no one can kill us and if He wants to kill then no one can protect us. “RAKHE KRISHNA TO MARE KE, AR MARE KRISHNA TO RAKHE KE?”

Sri Krishna is the embodiment of eternal bliss. Where there is eternal bliss there should be peace. Where there is peace there should be happiness. Where there is happiness there should be LOVE. All the above qualities are there eternally with Sri Krishna and His pleasure potency, Srimati Radharani. The Hare Krishna Mahamantra means Sri Sri Radha-Krishna’s full manifested form in Their blissful abode, transcendental Vrindavan (Goloka).

All living beings belong to Sri Sri Radha-Krishna. Therefore, human beings who are using their best intelligence are looking for Love & bliss in every step of their lives. But, due to the influence of present society, we have gradually developed independence and have forgotten our relation with Sri Krishna and His causeless mercy. We have become affected by the illusionary energy which exists on this earth and are thus misusing our free will, which we received from the Supreme personality of God-Head, Sri Sri Radha-Krishna. Due to misusing this free will we are being cheated by ourselves and each other at every step. Instead of serving and connecting our self with Sri Sri Radha Krishna we are serving the illusionary energy. Therefore, instead of becoming blissful we become distressful; instead of loving others we dislike each other; we try to increase our material name and fame to build our false ego. Where people have the tendency to establish their material name and fame there will be competition. Material competition makes for an intense situation. Where there’s an intense situation come feelings of insecurity. Where there are feelings of insecurity, there are doubt and distress. Please let me be free from doubt and distress; with firm faith on chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra, keep me in eternal bliss and Love.

Nowadays, although we are living in the temple with full dedication to the service of Sri Sri Radha-Krishna and Their devotees, the Vaisnavas, in reality, most of the dedicated devotees are not happy. For them it seems very hard to accept the Temple authority and serve Guru-Vaisnavas and Sri Sri Radha-Krishna under the authority’s guidance. Instead of serving Sri Sri Radha-Krishna we are searching to work outside the Temple and gain some money for establishing material things. Gradually we can accumulate a large amount of money and become interested in house-holder life. “yatha purbam tatha param” means “Where we were again back there.”

House-Holder devotees are financially supporting all temple services. Presently, they are becoming confused to see the instability of renounced devotees and as a result their doubt is increasing regarding Sriman Gauranga Mahaprabhu’s instruction for delivering house-holders:

Serve the Vaisnavas and chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and follow the two limbs, and gradually reach the Lotus-Feet of Sri Krishna. In order to help remove their (house holder and others) doubts please let us keep amicable relations among the members of authority in every temple and society so that we may inspire house holder devotees and others (the general public) to follow the two limbs with full enthusiasm, and let all of us be delivered from this miserable condition of material life.

Please let me acquire the potency to believe in Sri Guru-Vaisnavas and in Sri Sri Radha-Krishna’s combined form, in Gauranga Mahaprabhu’s instructions and allow me to follow in their foot-prints the rest of my life in order to receive the gift of bliss & Love eternally. Then please grant me the generosity to share with all of you that precious gift.
